For foreign tourists who are planning to come to Sakurajima (2015/8/16)

Tourist facilities are closed since the eruption alert of Sakurajima has raised up to level 4.

　-　Arimura Lava Observatory
　-　Yunohira Observatory
　-　Sakurajima Island View Bus (Sightseeing Bus)
　-　Sakurajima Regular Sightseeing Bus (Sakurajima Nature Sightseeing Course)
　-　Rainbow Beach
　-　Saido Beach
　-　Parking area in front of Kurokami Buried Shrine Gate

　　*It will be reopened when the safety is confirmed.

　The ferries below are cancelled on Sun. Aug. 16.
　　-　Yorimichi Cruise (depart at 11:05 from Kagoshima Port)
　　-　Sakurajima Summer Night Cruise 2015（depart at 7:00 PM）
　　*Regular ferries are available.
　　*We will inform later about the services after Mon. 17. Aug.

There is a possibility that Sakurajima will have larger scale eruption than usual.
Residents who live within 3 km from the crater have evacuated and the tourist facilities such as Yunohira Observatory, Arimura Lava Observatory, Kurokami Buried Shrine Gate, and Sakurajima Island View Bus are unavailable.
We cannot recommend you to do sightseeing in Sakurajima under current situation, however the facilities near Sakurajima Port which is 6 km away from crater (such as Sakurajima Visitor Center and Rest Stop) are still open.
